摘要：This partially expository talk provides a view of Maxwell's and Yang-Mills equations from the perspective of complex variables, operator theory, and $C^{*}$-algebras. Through operator-valued pluriharmonic and skew-Hermitian differential forms, we will see a new class of pluri-harmonic solutions. Furthermore, the talk will describe a complex variable version of the Yang-Mills Lagrangian and the Belavin-Polyakov-Schwartz-Tyupkin instanton.

报告人简介：

杨容伟教授1998年获纽约州立大学石溪分校数学系博士学位。现为纽约州立大学ALBANY分校数学与统计系教授。他的研究方向涵盖泛函分析，多变量算子理论，表示论，和数学物理，在国际知名杂志发表了近60篇文章，开创了多个新的研究领域。其倡导的双圆盘哈代空间算子理论和非交换算子的投影谱理论有着广泛的国际影响。杨教授的研究项目获得美国自然科学基金，SIMONS基金，普林斯顿高等研究所，和美国数学研究所（AIM）的支持。
